Autumn Gets New Sidewalks!

Darrell Jesse, Director of Operations, is pleased to acknowledge that Autumn's recent discussions with the City of Regina have successfully resulted in the construction of a new safe sidewalk for Autumn's residents.  For the first time not only do resident enjoy the use of a wheelchair ready ramp, but they have a new sidewalk that takes them right to the curb.  The City of Regina has undertaken significant road repairs to Regina Avenue during the summer of 2018.  These repairs included a complete replacement of all sidewalks and curbs.  Initially, at the commencement of work this summer the City only planned to install a pedestrian sidewalk.  However, Autumn made special application to the City of Regina on behalf of its residents and in the end, the City of Regina agree to install a connecting sidewalk for wheelchairs that extends to the curbside.  What a difference for our residents.
